Bluebird & Roses Bowls

Gorgeous and rare set of 6 1930's dessert bowls by Leighton Pottery. Each bowl is 6 inches (approx. 15 cm) across.
 
They are decorated with a repeating leaf pattern in a french blue banding around the edge and a delicate gold/beige coloured flourish beneath. Around the inside of the bowls are precious plump bluebirds and soft pink roses.
 
The bowls are in such lovely condition. The gilt around the top edge is worn but there are no cracks or chips and no crazing. To find such a beautiful set of this age in this wonderful condition is an absolute joy!
