Daily Mail Ideal Home Book 1948-49

This is the "Ideal Home Book" from Daily Mail; these were published annually. This one is from 1948.  It is a hardcover book and was given as a 10th anniversary gift according to the inscription.  It is packed with useful and interesting photos , articles and ads all pertaining to the home and decor.

There are also 12 colour plates which are reproductions in offset-litho from the original watercolours of Thomas Rowlandson. They are on a different textured paper from the rest of the pages making them ideal for framing.

There are 4 sections to the book (Creating The Home, Making The Home Beautiful, Managing The Home and Home, Life and Leisure) with each section having approximately 15 topics/articles.
