Pink Enamel French Coffee Pot

Lovely old French enamel biggin coffee pot in a superb soft pink colour.
 
Biggin is the term for a 3 piece coffee pot that has the top section which would hold a fabric bag (usually muslin) that would contain the coffee, the hot water would be poured on to it, the drainage holes allowing the coffee to drain through to the pot.
 
This pretty pot is for display or for use as a vase or even a planter as it has considerable areas of rust around the rims. There are also scattered small areas of missing enamel mainly around the lid, handle and spout. However the inside of the coffee pot has very little wear and no rust.
 
Consider adding a potted flower or plant to the biggin for a beautiful vintage "planter" display!
 
It measures 11.5 inches high to the top of the lid.
